I am one of those people who love little snacks during my break time. I wonder how many employees have the same personal trait as me. I hope the numbers of people are compelling as I can imagine people having snacks at home with movies and favourite TV shows is general. But regardless the size of the audience, I love the fine execution of the commercial as well as story line with “the old school theme” intake. It is a fine combination of traditional infomercial and
today’s trendy story line. I love the colour and character choices. Very solid and strong connection between the introduction and product
demonstration…

Digital world…I believe it has enormous capacity that can hold of its creative and artistic potential. It can hold music, motion and functionality as well as images. Those factors combined together create arts. I am very hopeful for the digital advertising that can break the stereo type; people hate advertising. I saw a piece of art today and feel that the future of advertising world is bright.

Get Back to Your Normal

Tylenol commercials never disappointed me. I loved the previous spot that all the normal people going just a little crazy.(smiley face) Frankly speaking, aren’t all of us just a bit crazy in some way?(smiley face) From the unique concept for a pain killer product to execution to finish, I loved it just as much Advil commercial.

I watched the latest spot of this Tylenol commercial, and it is very fun to watch. This spot is focused on telling the story of killing back pain and getting ‘literally’ back to normal body condition. The little gimmicks here and there were very cute and funny.

Ravioli with Veggies

Execution, execution and execution… That’s what matters the most in visual communications.

How much I love this commercial reminds me of the importance of execution again. I’m watching commercials after commercials at 9:30 p.m. and this woman who was interrupting her husband tying to talk to her by making loud noise with sink drainer. Now she’s even nearer to her husband and he’s continuing his conversation and now she is drumming the pots hanging above her. Her strange behavior has a reason. She gave her son the ravioli with veggies in it and her son who is enjoying it is oblivious.

It’s very simple story line and a little bit immature. But it’s ok having a simple immature story line to sell products whose targeting consumers are kids. And the case that it wouldn’t have been ok is if the actor’s ability to pull it off to make the story real cute and funny as well as the camera work that can execute the scenes. I think they did it all.

Yes, kids don’t like veggies and they need to have veggies in their diet. A lot of products out in the market place needs their voices to sell and I look forward to the next cute and joyful commercials of them.

Women and car

I guess it’s not just men who have special thing for cars. To me, cars are more masculine than feminine. That’s probably why I see pretty much all automobile commercials are made to approach to men. Either cars are masculine or feminine, some cars are sexy.

This morning I was on the road and remembered this funny but not so funny car commercial. The story of this commercial starts from a scene where a mid-age woman is jogging in the early morning. The sun is rising and I can feel the cool fresh air in the early morning. The woman is really in the zone of running so is this car. She suddenly catches a car passing by and pulls her attention. So distracting to her! Why? It’s like love at first sight. This well-put-together woman is running but not really because she ran towards to a tree. She’s now on the ground still gazing the car driving away.

Very nicely done! The mini van caught the mid-age woman who probably has a family and kids. I can imagine other mid-age women who are in her life stage would be caught by the car on the commercial.

There’s a bit of humor code going on. Although I would like it better if the woman slightly chuckled for the happening, it is well thought story.

I definitely chuckled this morning on the road when I was remembering her on the commercial.

Mcdonalds-Happy Meal

Oh how cute is this commercial!…

I fell in love with the silent conversation between the mom and her daughter. ‘Look who’s got more?!’ The little one has everything that her mom got in her big grocery bag! It is very emotionally appealing and explains the product contains variety food items that satisfy kids.

Fallsview Casino-Burning off that calorie

Dinner party at Casino? It’s not a place to dine but I guess it could be a party place with good food. Although the conversation between a lady who’s exercising to burn off her fat and a neighbor is more putting its weight on something other than Casino game and Casino itself, I get pretty good idea about how satisfied the exercising lady was and still is at the Fallsview Casino. The awesomeness about this commercial is that the lady who has certain personality and the magical carpet that goes along her path as she goes. She’s definitely being treated well like she says to her neighbor.

Awesome!!! Bravo!!

Advil-Football

Well,,,I would say it is pure heart that pulls humor in this episode. The grown up security guard playing football all alone during his night time shift is the basic line of the story. He looks around to see if there’s anybody around by any chance and decides to be himself. Who knows if his childhood dream was a football player or he wanted to do something crazy to break the boredom of repeating everyday life. But we all understand the situation is humorous and we like him for being himself. I found that the woman security guard who caught him on CCTV was nice touch to finish up the story.

Love it.

Enjoying your Caramilk?

About 5 minutes ago on July 9 2009, the lady in a waxing room was enjoying a bar of Caramilk and as much she was, I was enjoying the commercial. With the perfect mood built up right from the beginning of the commercial, the lady who was enjoying the Caramilk and the other lady who was giving the lady a good waxing job really executed the whole concept perfectly. Right camera angle and composition that caught the Caramilk lady’s face expression was the real matter of either this commercial hitting rock bottom or sky height.

Chocolate commercial or any type of chocolate ad is very difficult to target creative concept. As much as it is a tough task for the creatives to produce, it is that of a great commercial.

Where is it?

You know…it’s probably been 2nd times that I saw this commercial. I just start laughing because it entertains me. It makes me happy. Just like my most favourite IKEA summer sale commercial. This new one might be the simplest I’ve ever seen except for ‘Milk’ series. A random guy just screams and I get to turn my head and look what’s it? This guy is wearing a cap with camera and the camera is how the commercial is made. Not professional but that’s current stream. Isn’t reality the pop now? Hell yeah. This guy who’s riding a rope looks perfectly not-so-special. The reality is that most people are not models. This guy seems having dangerous fun and I see he is out somewhere and the last seen of the commercial gives the answer. Visit XXXX.ca You can’t be missed on the note of that kind of commercial. I just love it. Good job!
